Hair : How I got from Black to Gingerish brown

I changed my hair! (as you can see =p )
No surprise there cause I’m always doing it lol
But today i went back to my natural colour (kind of)
I’m naturally ginger but this colour is a few shades darker so its almost a redish brown but I’m totally in love in with it though 🙂

So the process of getting it this colour was long as always it took a few hours to do!

First I bleached my hair with Show time blue powder bleach and sally salon services 9% peroxide!
I covered my entire head in the bleach it took about an hour and a half to apply it to my head (my mum did it for me =p)  so I left the bleach in for an hour (not healthy to do btw) but I am used to my hair being bleached and because I had black hair it needed to be in for a while to strip!

So after I washed the bleach out and dried my hair my hair was multi-toned  ginger, brown , blonde (my ginger roots went blonde) so it looked a bit funny, So I then debated with myself to bleach it again or dye it as it was. So I thought  about the damage I would cause my hair if I bleached it again so I went for the dye option !

I mixed 2 hair colours together 6/34 deep copper gold & 7/43 warm red copper ( Dyes by Organic & mineral research ) with Fruity booster 9% and applied that to my head it took about half an hour to apply and I left it in for about half an hour and then I rinsed it out with shampoo twice and then used allot of conditioner!

My hair is still in pretty decent condition , the ends are dry and broken now, but they were like that anyway so I didn’t  do too much damage!

So this is what I look like now!
I’m completely in love with it atm and I will most likely will stay like this for a while!

Thats how i changed my hair to this!

REVIEW : Viva Piñata

Right so the last few days my friend and I have been playing Viva Piñata, I know the games has been out a while but there’s a first time for everything!

So my first impression is wow everything is cute and colourful, Perfect for kids! So naturally me being myself I got super excited! The aimed audience for the game is 3+ and it is in my opinion suitable for all ages.

The game was made by Rare and Microsoft Game Studios in 2006! So I’m only about 6 years behind on this game!
It is available on Xbox and PC!
The genre is life stimulation

So the game graphic’s are pretty decent, the sound and music is good I cant default it in that department at all!

The aim of the game is too collect different breed of piñata(animals) and breed them and make them residents in your garden, to do this there is different items you need to have in your garden and different items you need to feed them. So this makes the game a little bit challenging which I LOVE about the game! You also get seeds to plant to grow fruit, veg, trees and more!

The game basis itself from the animal kingdom also, in such ways as certain animals must eat other animals to become resident in your garden or to romance!
Romancing is when 2 of the same breed animal are in love and the do a romance dance and then get delivered an egg with their new baby. (Its a very child friendly game)

Something else i really like about the game is the different people in the game own pet stores, supermarkets and building stores so you can provide your animals with house’s, garden décor and accessories!

The game has a sub challenge as your progress where it will ask you to ship them off animals and they will reward you with sweets (different candy help animals in happiness and romancing)

All in all it is a very fun, colour game which is a great way to get your children into gaming or even just for yourself to have a little fun!

REVIEW : Urban Decay’s Primer Potion

It took me a while to decide what to review next, so i was looking through my products and it hit me!

I thought i should use one of the products I use the most! And that would be Urban Decays primer potion!

As you can tell by the the name it is a primer! It is possibly one of the best eye shadow primers on the market to this day ! The eye shadow primer comes in 4 different shades!

  1. Original
  2. Sin
  3. Eden
  4. Greed

Because Sin, Eden and Greed and coloured primers they can serve as eye shadows or even highlighters!

It comes in cute simple packaging and its easy to use, you just squeeze a bit out onto your finger, lightly apply all over the lid to the brow bone and even under the lower lash line if you plan on putting any product there!

The purpose of the primer is to act as a barrier between your skin and your make-up and also to get the most from your eye shadow! Applying the primer helps bring out the pigments/colour of your eye shadow, it makes eye shadow easier to blend and also helps it stay on longer!

Its a non crease primer which lasts 24hours!

The primer potion comes in 3 sizes!

The travel size bottle you get with the Naked palette  or buy on its own 3.7ml

The normal size tube ( it used to be in a 10ml bottle similar to the travel size) 11ml

And the professional size tube! 21ml

Rough Prices !
Travel size : €7.50 , $9, £6
Normal size :€16 , $20 , £13
Professional size : €24, $30 , £19.50

I would HIGHLY reccomend this product to anyone who loves wearing make-up, esp. if you like your make vibrant!

REVIEW : Illamasqua’s Skin Base foundation

I received my free sample of Illamasqua’s new Skin base foundation!
I recieved the shade SB01 Which is  perfect for mixing with foundations to lighten them as its a white foundation (or for a zombie look etc 😉  )  and I have to say it is AMAZING!

It feels like silk and it just glides along the skin and it blends beautifully! I highly reccomend investing in a bottle of this foundation! The foundation is pricey for some people it is £25 ! But it is well worth it in my opinion, Foundation is one of the few things i would advise to splash out on if you know what brands to get and this one is a must for any makeup bag/kit/collection!!! This foundation comes in 18 different shades so you will not be stuck it will have your colour! From extremely pale skin to dark skins!

Illamasqua’s Description/Info of the foundation :

Inspired by the cult Asian market Beauty Balm creams, Skin Base Foundation is a brand new, refined formula unlike anything on the UK market. Easily blendable, it effortlessly creates a perfect complexion, and like the entire Illamasqua foundation range, is undetectable in a professional HD environment. The eyeshadows are very strongly pigmented and go on beautifully!

What not to do when applying make-up!!

The video that this short rant was wrote about has been removed from YouTube, sadly because you can’t see what I’m on about , and thankfully to stop foolish people listening to her.
Honestly if anyone had followed this “tutorial” they would look a mess or get an infection!
The woman stated she was NOT a huge brush cleaner.
That is a huge no no if you are applying makeup!!

Makeup has few rules but hygiene and washing your brushs is the NO.1 rule and most important.
Also a few minutes into the “tutorial” she sucks on her brush to get the mountain of product she has on it to “clean” the brush!
I almost threw up watching that!

DO NOT DO THIS. I know its common knowledge not to do this.. but obviously some people do.
This is disgusting.
This video is an outrage to makeup and i cant believe this woman has more than 1000 subscribers praising her work.

Thanks for listening to my rant!

Do YOU know when your make-up EXPIRES?

So the other day i cleared out my entire makeup! And i couldnt believe the amout of stuff i had to throw out!You should never keep makeup too long, after awhile it starts to build up bacteria.
And yes makeup does go off!!So when should you throw makeup out?
Here is some guidelines to how long you should have a product before replacing them!

Lipstick: Some experts say 1-2 years. Some say 4 years !  (If it smells rancid, throw it out)

Lipglosses/chapsticks: 2 years

Powder eye shadow: 2 years

Cream eye shadow: 12-18 months

Eyeliner: 3 months

Mascara: 3 months ( some last longer , again smell it and if it stinks throw it out!)

  Powder blush: 2 years
  Cream blush: 6 months
Oil-free foundation: 12 months
Cream foundation: 18 months
Concealer: 12-18 Months
Lotions: 2 years

I hope these guidelines help you out [=

REVIEW : Inglot’s New store in Blanchardstown

On the 8th of October 2011 I headed to Blanchardstown for the Inglot Launch, Needless to say there was a MASSIVE queue outside the doors, people of all ages just dying to get in.

There was a goody bag for the first 50 people in the door, and sadly i was number 58 i think , so i missed out of the goody bag but i did receive a voucher for a complimentary make over which it awesome 😀

So the shop is just beautiful, the set up is amazing and its easy to get around (except for today because it was PACKED) I honestly couldnt move without bumping into about 5 people at a time!

So for those of you who do not know what Inglot is, Inglot is a Polish makeup brand and has been around for just over 25years. It was created by the Inglot family , Mr.Inglot,  a Pharmacist set out to have have products at affordable prices but using only high quality ingredients. There are over 300 stores world wide, and also ( My favorite part ) THEY DO NOT TEST ON ANIMALS!

Now what i ADORE about Inglot is their freedom system.
The freedom system is a selection of palettes starting from 2 slots and going up.
You then choose your shades of eyeshadows , lipsticks , brow wax’s etc.

For example I picked up a 5 eyeshadow palette and chose my own 5 shades

Shades (left to right ) : 318 , 371 , 320 , 51 and 331

They are super pigmented! And their range of shades is amazing, i was honestly there for half an hour deciding what to get!

For the palette and the 5 shadows is was only €30!
That is AMAZING value for such fantastic products!

So i also created a quick look with my palette today!
Here it is!

I would highly recommend finding out where your closest Inglot store is, and go have a look!
